RemSense, along with Cambridge Coast Care, collaborated in monitoring Floreat Beach coastal dune erosion over a two year period to determine how high precision aerial surveying technology could improve coastal dune monitoring.
This was part of an initiative to innovatively monitor coastal dune erosion and visualize the changes over time for future management and mitigation, capturing repeatable, measurable data that allows for scientific analysis.
Four aerial surveys were conducted over a 300m x 134m area in Floreat Beach capturing seasonal variations. The models include both 3D Point Cloud and 3D mesh constructed from over 1000 images each time.
