RemSense and Sentient Computing Sign Strategic MoU to Advance Visual Twins for Oil and Gas, Energy and Mining
Following the successful joint delivery of projects for two of the world’s largest oil and gas companies, and with further joint opportunities planned including with one of the world’s largest mining companies, RemSense Technologies Limited and Sentient Computing have entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The agreement formalises a growing relationship between the two Perth-based technology companies and creates a framework to pursue further opportunities across mining, oil and gas, energy and industrial markets.

Why RemSense and Sentient Computing are joining forces
RemSense and Sentient bring highly complementary capabilities to these projects.
RemSense provides high-resolution reality capture, spatial data and its virtualplant visualisation platform, while Sentient brings deep expertise in digital twins, immersive 3D environments, simulation, operational data integration, VR and automation.

Connecting reality capture with operational data
Together, the companies are exploring how these capabilities can be combined to connect the physical reality of an industrial asset with the operational data behind it.
The collaboration builds on real-world project delivery already undertaken by the two companies and reflects a shared view that combining their technologies can create stronger, more integrated solutions for major industrial customers.
RemSense CEO Warren Cook on the Sentient Computing MoU
RemSense Chief Executive Officer Warren Cook said:
“This isn’t a collaboration that starts with signing an MOU. We have already worked successfully together on major projects, and that has given both companies confidence in the opportunity ahead.
The natural fit is that RemSense captures and visualises the physical asset, while Sentient brings operational information, simulation and interactive environments into that digital world.
We believe combining those capabilities can create a much richer digital environment for customers and open up opportunities that neither company may pursue as effectively on its own.”
What happens next
The two companies will now continue to identify joint customer opportunities, investigate technology integration and pursue projects in Australia and internationally.
Frequently asked questions
It is a strategic Memorandum of Understanding between Perth-based RemSense Technologies (ASX:REM) and Sentient Computing to pursue joint opportunities in digital twins across mining, oil and gas, energy and industrial markets, building on projects the two companies have already delivered together.
A reality capture digital twin is built from real-world capture data such as LiDAR scanning, photogrammetry and 360-degree imagery, so the virtual model shows an asset exactly as it exists today rather than as it was originally designed.
Linking operational data, such as sensor readings, maintenance records and process information, to an accurate visual model lets teams see what is happening and where in one place, supporting faster decisions, simulation and planning.
